The Castle is located an easy five-minute stroll to the Indian Ocean and settlement.

A unique, open plan holiday home that’s a perfect base for friends or families.

Nestled amongst the coconut palms, The Castle has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and toilets, an outdoor heated shower, a large lounge and dining area, and a huge kitchen with air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout.

There’s plenty of space to relax and play here, with the property just a short stroll to the beautiful Indian Ocean surrounds, and settlement with local supermarket, eating out spots and Visitor’s Centre.

Life is enjoyed outdoors on Cocos Keeling Islands and The Castle comes with a large undercover patio complete with a BBQ, comfortable lounge seating and a daybed for relaxing, reading or taking a nap. There’s also a large outdoor table that seats eight guests.

WIFI is available for purchase online on arrival, and guests can hire a Toyota Prado to explore West Island for just $70 per day.

Please note, to secure your booking full payment must be made within 7 days to receive a confirmed booking. If payment is not received, your booking will be cancelled.

  • Internet Access Available

If a booking is cancelled prior to 60 days before your arrival, The Castle reserves the right to charge a $200 administration fee.

As Cocos is a very remote location, replacement bookings can be very difficult to find at short notice. Therefore, bookings cancelled less than 60 days before check in are non-refundable.

Due to our remote location, flight delays and disruptions are common. Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance, that will cover you for any losses or extra charges relating to accommodation in this situation.

We also suggest booking air tickets at your time of booking as seats are limited and flights often book out.

It is rare, in this day and age, to come upon a place so delightful in both looks and temperament that, on the very first sighting, one’s jaw does genuinely drop.

If going with the flow is how you roll, you will love the Cocos Keeling Islands. They have a small – very small – country town vibe. Your activities revolve around the exquisite lagoon whether they be snorkelling, diving, fishing, parasailing, or just relaxing under a coconut palm reading a book while inhaling the frangipani infused air

Scuba diving at Cocos Keeling islands is nothing short of spectacular. Fabulous visibility, pristine coral reefs, abundant marine life and all the trappings of a tropical paradise without the flashy resorts. Yes, it is isolated and it takes some effort to get there, but this is more than offset by the quality of the diving, the friendly locals and the very laid back and relaxing ambience of the entire place. It is quirky, fun and a great place for a holiday. We will return and soon

Don’t miss this place. My wife and I recently spent a fantastic week on Cocos Keeling Islands. We took the opportunity to take the twice weekly ferry service from West Island to Direction Island... we loved it so much we came back for a second time.

Home Island is definitely quieter than West Island with religion a big part of daily life but the locals were so friendly and welcoming. It was so nice to be able to swim straight off the shore in amazing turquoise water while we cooked BBQs at sunset. Highly recommended!
