Rainfall usually visits the Cocos Keeling Islands in the evenings, bringing glorious sunny days and rarely interfering with holiday plans. Average annual rainfall is 2000 mm.

Expect higher rainfall during March through to July, although January through to August may also generate an occasional low pressure system.

Cocos experiences two main seasons, the doldrums from around November through to April / May and the Trade Wind Season during the middle months of the year. It's these Trade Winds that bring wind lovers to Cocos to zig zag across the lagoon under perfect skies.
